The queen sofa bed is a little tricky. Remove the 2 seat cushions (they are velcro-ed into place). Then pull the sofa back forward and bed will open. If you like, place the 2 seat cushions behind the bed to act as a headboard.

To close, reverse steps. Fold bed base up and back and push back into sofa base. Replace seat cushions. Voila!
